This R&R steering rack clamp is compatible with the following vehicle models:
- Holden Rodeo RA, RA7 from 2003
- Holden Colorado RC up to 2011
- Holden Colorado RG (without electric power steering)

We recommend fitting before installing a Munji relocation diff drop kit due to limited accessibility clearance. If the relocation diff drop is already installed, you may need to loosen or remove the bolts to fit the top plate of the clamp, then refit the bolts.
Please note: This steering rack clamp is not suitable for electric power steering racks. If you have any questions, please send a message to confirm.
The R&R steering rack clamp, conceived and developed in 2015, has since been introduced and made available online to meet the growing demand among 4WD enthusiasts. These clamps have garnered significant attention due to their effectiveness in addressing a critical issue faced by off-road adventurers who frequently push their vehicles to the limits in remote and rugged terrains.
The original passenger side steering rack support, characterised by a loose-fit bush style, poses a vulnerability during challenging off-road maneuvers such as wheel lift, wheel tuck, and encounters with rough terrain like dirt, sand, or mud. Under such conditions, the pivot movement on the passenger side can exert pressure on the weak spot where the steering rack joins, leading to cracks, splits, and separation. Moreover, once the steering rack separates, there's a high risk that the high-pressure oil line may rupture, resulting in the loss of power steering functionality.
The R&R steering rack clamp addresses this vulnerability by securely clamping the LH side of the rack. Working in tandem with the vertical and horizontal mounts on the driver's side, the clamp keeps the steering rack aligned and reinforces the entire steering rack support structure.
It's essential to regularly inspect the condition of the driver's side bushes to ensure they are in good condition. Worn or excessively mobile bushes increase the risk of rack cracking. Both sides of the steering rack need to function harmoniously to maintain rack firmness and minimise excessive movement.
Additionally, thorough examination of the welds and condition of the clamp mounting bracket is crucial. These components are susceptible to cracking, whether or not a clamp is in place. By utilising the clamp, the weakest spot is shifted to the welds on the LH clamp bracket. To further fortify against potential issues, it's advisable to enhance the welds and incorporate an additional gusset for added strength and durability.
Overall, the R&R steering rack clamp provides a proactive solution to a common problem encountered by off-road enthusiasts, enhancing vehicle reliability and safety in demanding terrain conditions.

- Tighten the RH side mount bolts (24mm).
Do not overtighten the nyloc nuts to avoid steering issues.
Installation is complete!
This clamp is recommended for off-road use only and is not ADR approved. While it has been extensively tested on and off-road for over 5 years, buyers install or have it installed correctly and assume their own risk.
A wheel alignment is required after fitting as you have just removed a steering component and small changes can cause steering to be out slightly.
